I had the pleasure of working with Hava around the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019. As a first time parent, I had been feeling anxious about my family’s diet and I didn’t know how to implement healthier choices into our meals in a sustainable way. There were just too many differing opinions from various sources and after talking to Hava, I had more clarity and a simple framework that I could easily follow for any meal. For example, what I found helpful and continue to use to this day, 3 years after our meeting, was to look at my meal as a plate and how to portion my amount of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and protein. I used to eat mindlessly and this little reminder has greatly increased my family’s fiber and healthy minerals intake. I also like that Hava understands what motivates people to change (holistic, positive approach) and what doesn’t (fear, stress, and guilt). I felt empowered and less anxious after talking to Hava because she gave me concrete tips I could apply immediately to my lifestyle. Lastly, she reminded me that diet was just one part of the equation to a happy and healthy life and mentioned the importance of sleep, exercise, and stress management: the vicious cycle of unhealthy food we crave when we are depleted, tired, or unhappy. Can you make life changes while rolling along in a travel trailer, yes you can! It was March 2021, when I had a cholesterol blood test indicating my numbers were elevated, just a shade under 300! With encouragement from doctor on my pleading for a bit of time to lower the numbers before being placed on a statin, I asked Hava for guidance
Can you make life changes while rolling along in a travel trailer, yes you can! It was March 2021, when I had a cholesterol blood test indicating my numbers were elevated, just a shade under 300! With encouragement from doctor on my pleading for a bit of time to lower the numbers before being placed on a statin, I asked Hava for guidance. After our discussion, she sent me information on a Plant Based Food Plan. It works! With just a little prep, my meal preparation is done in no time. I did start a statin in August and continued my Plant Base Food Plan. My husband and I are driving across the United States for twelve months in our travel trailer and this food plan is very easy to follow! Had a phone call with my doctor this week, he recommends a recheck of cholesterol in four months and the possibility of cutting the steroid prescription in half and that’s based on my current numbers, under 200 on cholesterol and I have lost twenty six pounds!! Thank you Hava!!! The doctor advised more weight loss and keep up my exercise, walking, and eating habits as it is working!
Appreciate the help from Hava as it gave me confidence in making a serious change about my health!
